Temperzone Data Hub - Simplifies Product Information Management
One of the biggest challenges for air conditioning manufacturer and distributor Temperzone, is keeping track of thousands of Finished Products, Accessories and Spare Parts as well as all the technical and marketing documents that go with them.
Piapplications worked with Temperzone to develop a simple cloud based Product Information Management system.
To build the Temperzone Data Hub, Piapps first had to extract a huge amount of data from a legacy technical website. Then we married that data to an extract coming directly from Temperzone's corporate ERP system.
The Data Hub now sits in dedicated cloud hosting server, between Temperzone's ERP System and their new Website.
The hub allows Temperzone Marketing and Product Management staff to actively define, manage and update all the product documentation for the entire Temperzone and Hitachi Brand ranges.
Everything from simple sales brochures to full technical manuals as well as accessories and spare parts lists are held in a single repository and digitally linked to products on the main corporate website.
The Hub Product Information system works hand in hand with the Temperzone.com website Content Management System. This allows the Marketing and Product Management teams to easily create front end document libraries linked to specific products and product families.
Roles and permissions for both The Hub and website CMS are managed by the Hub authorisation server, which also links with Temperzone’s Microsoft 365 login giving staff single point log in. The Hub also manages access to website content that requires general users to login for access and download.
Like many Piapplications Large Scale App projects the Temperzone Hub was custom software development requiring close understanding of the nuance of the Customer's business and the ability to work closely with Marketing, Product and IT management.
